A late 18th-century gold and enamel watch set with split pearls. The full-plate gilt fusee movement features a finely pierced and engraved bridge cock, a plain three-arm gilt balance with blued-steel spiral hairspring, and has been well converted to a cylinder with a large steel escape wheel. A silver regulator dial is included.

The watch is wound through the convex white enamel dial, with Arabic numerals and gold beetle-and-poker hands. The 18-carat gold consular case has bezels set with a single row of large split pearls, and the back features translucent dark blue enamel over an engine-turned ground. The sprung front bezel opens via a button in the gold pendant.
