An early 19th-century English lever watch with a decorative four-colour gold dial in a gold open-face case. The full-plate gilt keywind fusee movement has a gilt dust cover and Harrison’s maintaining power. The plain cock is inscribed “Detachd” on the table and “Lever” on the foot, fitted with a diamond endstone and a blued-steel Bosley regulator. The plain three-arm gold balance has a blued-steel spiral hairspring and an English table roller lever escapement.

The fine decorative gold dial has a matted ground with three-colour applied gold decoration at the centre and edge, applied polished gold Roman numerals, and blued-steel hands. The 18-carat gold open-face case is chased and engraved on the middle, bezels, pendant, and bow, with a faded engine-turned back and vacant circular cartouche. Maker’s mark “SB” in a rectangle.
