A late 18th-century French verge watch in a gold and enamel consular case. The full-plate gilt fusee movement features a finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, a plain three-arm gilt balance with blued-steel spiral hairspring, and a silver regulator dial with gilt indicator. The watch is wound through the signed white enamel dial with Roman numerals and fine gold hands.
The gold consular case has bezels decorated with dark and light blue enamel in a gilt diamond pattern. The back displays a polychrome enamel riverside scene depicting fishermen and a bridge. The rectangular gold pendant is enamelled on two faces, marked with the movement number, and bears “LG” on the other two faces.
