About The Unusual Half Hunter with up/down Dial
An early 20th-century English lever watch with power-reserve indication, housed in an unusual 18-carat gold half-hunter case. The gilt three-quarter-plate keyless movement has a going barrel, engraved cock with polished steel regulator, and a compensation balance with blued-steel overcoil hairspring. It features an English table-roller lever escapement with endstones to the escape and lever pivots.
The signed engine-turned silver dial includes subsidiary dials for power reserve and seconds, Arabic numerals, and blued-steel hands. The half-hunter case has an unusually large glazed front aperture with a blue enamel chapter ring, and a plain gold cuvette stamped with maker’s mark “TR” in a rectangle, matching the movement number.
Presented in a brown morocco case with an easel stand.
