The full-plate gilt fusee movement has a finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, a plain three-arm gilt balance with blued-steel spiral hairspring, and a silver regulator dial with blued-steel indicator. The watch is wound through the white enamel dial, which has Roman and Arabic numerals and decorative pierced gold hands.

The three-colour gold consular case features a back decorated with an oval scene of a sheep, basket, and agricultural implements, set against a line-engraved ground with swags. The matching three-colour gold chatelaine has a plain gold clip folded over to form a large cartouche, decorated similarly to the watch with an oval scene of a dog and cornucopia in a formal garden. Three smaller hanging cartouches each display a slightly different oval scene.
