About The Silver Hunting Cased Erotic Automaton
A large early 20th-century Swiss lever watch featuring a concealed erotic automaton, housed in a decorative silver full hunter case. The white enamel dial has subsidiary seconds, Arabic numerals, and blued-steel hands.
The silver full hunter case is decorated in high relief, the front showing a bust, and the back with floral motifs marked “H Frsl Depose.” Opening the back and silver cuvette reveals an automaton scene depicting a nun at prayer being approached from behind by a clergyman. When the silver slide in the case band is activated, the figures animate.
