About The Gold and Enamel Digital Cylinder
A 19th-century cylinder watch with digital hour indication in a slim gold and enamel case. The gilt keywind bar movement has a suspended going barrel, a plain cock with blued-steel regulator, and a plain three-arm gold balance with blued-steel spiral hairspring. The polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel complete the movement.
Hours are shown through a small circular glazed aperture above a larger glazed aperture for the minutes, indicated by a fine blued-steel hand. Opening the cover reveals the engine-turned silver dial with an offset minute chapter. The slim gold case is decorated overall with black champlevé enamel and fitted with a gold and enamel pendant and bow. The watch is wound and set through the gold cuvette and comes in a small morocco-covered presentation case lined with purple velvet.
